An advance team from The Hague arrives on Wednesday morning to set the stage for investigations into post-election violence.

Officers from the Outreach Unit of the International Criminal Court, who are based in Uganda, arrived yesterday to prepare for meetings with groups that will play a role in the investigations.
International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo is expected to fly into the country on Saturday.
The advance team will, among other things, make appointments with key government officials, including President Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
The schedule will include one public meeting, travels to the post-election violence hotspots of Eldoret, Naivasha, and selected estates in Nairobi and Kisumu.
In a letter informing the government about his seven-day visit, Mr Moreno-Ocampo said he would visit areas that were most hit by the chaos.
At least 1,133 people were killed and another 650,000 displaced from their homes during the violence.
“I will like to travel throughout Kenya to meet communities in the most affected areas, particularly in the Rift Valley,” he said in the letter dated April 19, 2010.
A public meeting where the ICC prosecutor will explain the reason for his visit and how justice will be delivered is said to have been arranged.
But the dates and venue have not been announced.
The team will on Thursday evening host an awareness conference in Nairobi for all players in the investigations, including civil society and the media.
Mr Moreno-Ocampo, who expects to collect evidence to nail six key suspects, has presented 20 names of the perpetrators to the ICC judges.
On Wednesday, the Outreach Unit will hold a five-hour breakfast consultative meeting at the Stanley Hotel to explain how the Pre-Trial Chamber granted permission for investigations and the way they will be conducted.
Presentations
Among those who will make presentations will be Uganda’s outreach coordinator Maria Kamara and Ms Jelena Vukasinovic, an associate legal outreach officer of the ICC.
